Shot just outside a flea market in Rome’s Trastevere. The man came accross as both sad and proud when I asked if I could take his photo.
One of my earliest attempts at « ghosting » silhouettes. Same session as Les Fantômes du Pont des Arts.
Angelo Debarre is a unique artist and not at all a Django copycat, but on this picture he looked so much like Django that I had to process it ‘old style’.
My earliest concert shot. It’s the only shot from that whole concert worth retrieving, and though imperfect I have a fondness for it…
Thomas Bramerie during the concert release party of Eric Legnini’s latest album Sing Twice!
A photo of Ryan Scott, trumpet player for soul-funk band Monophonics.
One of a number of shots of the new highest skyscraper in Europe.
A third shot from the Amsterdam Klezmer Band concert in April 2012 in Paris, this one from accordion player Theo van Tol. As a photographer, I love accordion players: the instrument offers such graphic possibilities… From the same concert you can check out photos of trombone player Joop van der Linden and trumpet player Gijs Levelt.
On a beautiful winter day I walked with my sons to the Sacré Coeur in Montmartre and took a lateral shot which I quite like. i gave it an old timey processing without overdoing it for what I hope is an interesting but not too classic postcard look.
This is a black and white variant of Pink Sunrise. Interesting how the feeling it conveys is radically different, isn’t it?
