Shanghai Night

Whenever I travel for work, I always ask myself if taking the tripod along is really worth it. On this short trip to Shanghai, I was very glad I did. Shooting long-exposures of the Bund from the Pudong side was a blast!

Vintage Gold

Some iconic landmarks you really want to shoot, but it’s tough to find a way of shooting them that you haven’t seen already. With the Golden Gate bridge I tried to combine the selective sharpness of the Lensbaby with a marked sepia processing. Might have been done in the 1920s, I guess!

Derek in the Shadows

There’s no denying that occasionally a photo is more down to luck than design. That’s particularly true of concert shots: sudden changes in lighting can make a picture totally unexpected. Such was the case with this shot of slide guitar wizard Derek Trucks. It looks like studio lighting, but believe me it was on stage!

Espadrilles

This is one of the first shots I did that I was really pleased with. It was shot in Saint-Jean Pied de Port in the Basque Country and features their main export: espadrilles!
